View Full Version : GET'N STARTED...
First off, I apologize if my search skills are letting me down but what I need are stock files to get me started with TunerProRT on a bone stock 1992 Z28 305 TPI A4. All I want to do is communicate with the stock computer. I am not trying to tune or change anything at this time. Do I even need a bin file? Do I have to have an XDF file? Basically just want to do real time data logging on the car as it is. I have a USB ALDL 12-pin cable and TunerProRT ready to go. Any help or pointing in the right direction is greatly appreciated.

1992 IIRC is $DA2; it's here:

To data log all you need is the ADX file.

Is the 92 F body not LT1?
Here's a link to a TunerPro spreadsheet file lookup that may shed some light on it.

OK, but there's a lot of cool dashboards already in $8D-1227730-V1.1.adx

Is there a quick way to restore the dash to default settings?

No, just download another. There's really no default.
Some of those dashboards are just installed. Need to right click on each gauge and choose what you want.
ahh ok. I'll keep messing with it then.
WOW...Some folks have that dash matrix figured out!

That and the Histograms. I had some pretty cool ones mapped out. I had a cool one that I setup to average MPG vs. RPM vs. Speed. I found a few MPG sweet spots with it that let me get 21 mpg out of a 383 TPI van.

History is the tuner tool. Monitors are even more useful for tuning. The only time I use a Dash Boards is when I need to see more info then monitors, like data and Switches like AE or PE or DFCO coming on.
moving on to my 89 truck...does the $42 have any timing data?
I just looked at a file that has it from hack? Do I have to have that chip or will my stock chip produce that data? edit...yeah for the search function....need to add to bin. aka I need to burn a chip.

Should be notes in there, it replaces something useless in data stream with something useful.
but it does require a new burn correct?
