Anybody having trouble showing real time data with the Autoprom connected to the '7427 PCM , mine will show as much data as you want with the key on , engine off, once you start the engine it will show about 5 seconds of data and the screen freezes. You must restart Tunerpro RT and it will repeat the procedure.

Also , I must remove the USB connection to restart Tunerpro RT or the PC will say "Tunerpro Open" if I just close out and try to re open.

Combo is a 92 S10 , SBC / Tremec 5 spd / 16197427 PCM / APU1 Autoprom and Windows XP.

Any help is apprreciated .

Thanks

TOM

Havinr to restart computer, restart TunerPro seems to be a common issue. I have not been able to figure it out either.

But the data thing may be something you need to make a setting change on...

Also there are several masks for the 427. Do you have the correct one?

Sounds like there might be some AC ripple not being filtered on power line to the PCM. Make sure the grounding between the engine, chassis and battery are all solid and clean.

Some people also experience issues when they use an inverter to power their laptop.

I am running $0E with BJDR right now, (that is another question to ask, but later :rolleye: ) I'm running 93V8S10's XDF and ADX files in TunerPro RT with an APU1.

Think it could be a problem with the battery as it is in the bed and the cables (2/0 ga) run the length of the truck to a terminal block under the hood ?

I do know some of the sensor wires run across the firewall near the coil mounting location ? Possible ?

Thanks for the input

Ended up adding about 20# more in just wire alone tonight , I re grounded everything and anything , cleaned up all of the feed wires also .

Seems to datalog O.K. right now , but it was too rainy to go for a spin.

More tomorrow , hopefully it is licked an on to other problems.

Thanks all !

could also be wrong mask for the ECM. We just went through that with another guy. His ECM was 427 but came from heavy truck which runs a differant mask. I would run mask designed for the BCC.

There are three I know of. Maybe look at this page to see if the discriptions help. We also have all these in our library (photo Gallerey)

'7427 will run $0E , $0D , $31 and I believe others, I run $0E in my '93 454 with the blower , $0E in my '94 with the 502 and $0D in my S10 Blazer SBC . Never experimented with $31 though.

I think it ended up being a latency setting in the com port , switched it like is described on Moates site and all seems good as of now.

Thanks for all of the help and advice . Hope I can contribute some too.
