These are both from 02 C6500 GMC's with the 8.1l, but an AT545 non electronic automatic. You can segment swap them over for swaps using a non electronic auto(700r4, th350, th400, and so on). Unfortunately they only used the 2088 and 6125 with the DBW 8.1L.

Xdf???? You mean a bin. Xdf what decodeds the bin on tunerpro.

The 4X4 vans were built from a 2wd van by an outside contractor. You should start with a 2wd .bin file.

I have a 411 PCM and I used PCM Hammer to update it to the 2156 OS. I am swapping a Gen 3 5.3 V8 with 4L80 into a Dodge. I would like to segment swap the 4L80 portion since that combo was never sold by GM. I see the only 2156 file with a 4L80 here is for a pre-LS (L31) Express van. Can I use that file for the segment swap?

UPDATE
I used LS Droid to segment swap the Van 4L80 file (see below), and PCM Hammer to write it to my 411 PCM- no errors. I did the transmission and transmission diagnostics. The base file was the 2002 Silverado 5.3 DBC no EGR from post #8, I modified it by changing the tach output from 6/6 to 3/3 and disabled some MIL codes for the rear O2 sensors. I'll update here if it works, I'm still a ways from starting my swapped engine. I'm attaching the new bin file.

UPDATE #2
When I checked the segment swapped file with HP Tuners, it showed as backwards- the engine was a 5.7 not 5.3, and the trans was a 4L60, not 4L80. As such, I don't think this file is usable as-is.

I found my error was in LS Droid. I presumed the green button meant you were swapping that function, and the red one meant you were not. That's backwards. I deleted the file until I can fix it.

UPDATE #4 11/7/20
Updated file attached. My truck developed a mechanical problem (oil leak), but the tune allowed it to run OK. As I recall, it has a number of MIL codes disabled such as EGR and secondary O2 sensors, AC and VATS are disabled, and the tach hi/low resolutions were modified. I was not able to drive the truck to verify the trans shifted properly, so use at your own risk. It did show up as a 5.3/4L80 in HP Tuners though. :thumbsup:

Whatever happened with the segment swapped 5.3 4L80e? Regardless, I just recently grabbed a PCM from a 2002 YukonXL with an LQ4 (verified pistons) with an AWD 4l60e/65e not sure which. It is also DBW. This is the stock tune pulled with PCM Hammer.

12212156 is supposed to be universal, but before I screw anything up does anyone happen to have a 2002 Chevy Astro AWD with 4l60e bin? I'm fairly confident I can just use whatever 12212156 that is close and simply copy over everything but I'd really like to start out with a known astro/safari bin if at all possible. I'll straight up paypal someone $5 if that is allowed.

Your 2088.bin file id's as a 8322 OS with PCM BIN Builder. Just wondering if you were aware of this. As I had to use a 8322 OS to get the segment swap to not throw a mismatched OS and would not complete with a 2088.bin file. Again thanks,

The question is where do I get the XDF from, do I have to ask for it exactly for each ecu?

Hello all. We are performing a PCM upgrade for a customer from a 1996 black box Vortec PCM to a 2002 "0411" OS 12212156. Mainly to accommodate tire/gear changes, etc. Anywho. The project truck is fitted with a 5.0L Auto setup. Big deal right? Who cares about a 5.0L? Well, this customer does and we accommodate. I searched and was unable to locate a good 5.0L bin, especially for a 2002 OS. I broke down and "bought" a bin from GM via SPS2, flashed a spare PCM and voila, 2002 5.0L bin. Since I could not find a good 5.0L .bin, I am sharing the one I have with the world. Enjoy. I make no warranty expressed or implied, it is a stock GM binary.

Depends what bin you need it for.
If it's for a bin that has the 2156 Operating System, check this thread.

New here. Trying to LS Swap a 4.8 w 4L60E into a 63 Chevy. I cannot find an XDF that works. Anyone have a Bin and XDF that I can use?
Only upgrades are a sheet metal intake with 102mm throttle, LS 7 injectors and headers.

VIN number is suspect 1GCEK19T72Z000000 Clearly a modified .bin. Unlikely NV3500 was factory transmission option with 5.3 LM7.

It was modified by a local shop on hp tuners.. I’d kinda put the “at your own risk” warning on every file. I’m not trying to screw people over with a bad file. And you’d be correct that it wasn’t a factory option with the LM7, which is why I shared the file.. sir.

As a moderator here, I feel it make sense to have a library of "Stock Only" files. That is how things started out years ago. Gearhead is supported by volunteers, so it's challenging to filter out files that are not stock.:mad1:

It would be awesome if posted modified files had the accompanying stock file that was modified, it really helps the learning curve!

Here are a couple of files for the bin.. The truck file is stock I believe and the other is what I put together for my Yukon. It is modified based on the truck file. I couldn't find a DBC Bin for a Yukon 6.0 LQ4 so I used the truck with 4l60e. Works decent so far. VATS, CATs, EGR, O2 deletes. I like smoother shifting and quicker response so I adjusted shift times etc.. Needs a little more tweeking in the coming weeks. Just needed to get this thing back on the road. 98k miles.

Hello Friends, I live in Spain and here the LS1 engine is not very well known.
I have an '81 C3 corvette and am doing an LS1 swap with an engine from a 2000 C5 corvette.
I am looking for a 2001 to 2004 CORVETTE C5 automatic and electronic accelerator bin file.
The original from 2000 has xdf 09383144. I was able to copy the bin with PCM Hammer, and edit with Tuner Pro, but it is not organized by folders and it is very difficult to modify.
That's why I'm looking for a version from 2001 to 2004.

this MIGHT help you. I am truly confused, the VIN seems to come back to a camaro, but the platform options table is clearly set to a Y body, and universal patcher says the tune is stock. Use at your own risk.

The original intent of this thread was for stock .bin files only, which makes sense.

Requesting modified .bin files is not the intent of this tread, perhaps a new thread in the OBD2 forum is a better place to ask for a modified .bin file :thumbsup:
