Hey guys I used to be into these older efi systems about 18 years ago. I used a 1227730 ecm AUJP prom on a SBC running a mechanical 8 stack injection intake I converted to efi and it worked great. I still have the ecu and harness and wanted to use it on this 6 cyl. Can I just change the cylinder selection to 6, use injectors 1-6, change the BPW and tune it? can I just ad a resistor to the limp home calpack to turn it into a 6 cyl limp home ? will it work?
Thanks

I think using a ‘7730 / ‘7727 V6 Memcal is a good plan.

For a multipoint injection system you have to do both, although if you start with a memcal from a V6 it should have the dividers set right to start with. For TBI applications the memcal divider only has to be set up to divide by the number of injectors, either 1 or 2. From what I remember the 7730 has one injector output for all cylinders and would probably double fire the injectors (divide-by-3 on a straight six).
