This is from a 96 LT4 Tunercat .cal file. I believe it a stock file It shows the IFR to be 27.0lb not 28lb.

Well now I'm confused. Was there both a OBD1 and OBD2 LT4 in 1996? My file is OBD2 and TC OBD2 IDs it as an LT4. Your file is OBD1 and TC OBD1 IDs it as just a Corvette. But even your file in TC OBD1 has the IFR as 27lb, not 28.

Entering both VINs here https://www.autozone.com/vin-decoder they both ID as 1996 Grand Sports.

My bin was found off the internet I only have tunerpro Im using the wrong mask to open the file Im using $EE that is for 94-95 but the bin looks correct just by looking at other parameters like injector flow rate, revlimter ect. OBD1 was gone after 1993. Im also getting different values for the 24lbs LT1 injectors I dont know why there different they used the same injectors

Unfortunately, I do not have 1996 LT4 .bin.

Maybe the attached TunerCats OBD2 .cal file from a 1996 LT4 is helpful.

When opening the LT4 bin I have listed here in TC what does it show?

94 and 95 F-Bodies and Vettes were still OBD1. Just that the PCMs were flashable but were definitely OBD1. I used EE in TC OBD1 to open your bin.

This is what it shows with TC OBD1 using EE. TC OBD2 won't open it.

Are you able to see the fuel injector info? Is it the same as what I or you already posted above also what are you using from tunercats there "tuner" software? and what should I use to open the .cal file

Since the VIN in your bin IDs as a Grand Sport and it has 27lb as the IFR the other data is probably correct for those injectors. TC OBD2 uses .cal files. it will open a bin but will only save as a .cal. You would have had to of purchased it years ago as it is no longer for sale. Everything on that page for OBD2 are just updates if you have the original install. I just happen to have both versions of TC. What I originally posted is from the OBD2 96 Grand Sport file.

Thank you! yes I dont have TC, any idea why the injector data from my bin is different than your initial? look at the low pulse width table the offsets are the same was this just a error in your original post

Possibly post the original .bin that’s going to be used? I think it’s a good plan to be on the sheet of music:thumbsup:

Im only using the injectors from a 1996 LT4 vette they are different from the LT1 vette Im tuning a bin with $8D xdf

I don't know other than I wouldn't try compare an OBD1 file with an OBD2 file. The OBD2 cal file Dave posted has the exact same data that my file has. I'm still puzzled why there are both OBD1 and ODB2 Grand Sports in the same model year.

Are you able to check 92-95 LT1 24lbs fuel injector info with TC? Im getting these two for 94-95 LT1, using DA2 and DA3 masks I dont get pulse width values

here are some bins

I'm not going to look through 6 files. Pick one and I'll see what it shows.

This .bin has been screwed up by someone. The bin has been edited by someone who doesn’t know there are no letters I or O in vin numbers. The letter “O” as the ninth character in this vin number is in error and should be a number 0.

Thank you. TC OBD1 will not let you highlight the VIN and do a Copy like TC OBD2 will. So when I manually entered that VIN in the Vin Decoder I manually typed 0 and not O. A Copy and Paste would have resulted in an invalid VIN. But that still doesn't explain TC OBD1 IDing the file as a 96 Corvette in OBD1 .bin format using the EE Definition.

The two valid LT4 OS do not show up in this binary. Are we sure this is not a OBD1 ECM swap that someone typed the original vin from the 96 GrandSport OBD2 car into? Maybe an attempt to pass emissions with the OBD1 ECM installed?

I'm curious if TC just simply uses the 10th vin digit to ID the cal year.

OBD1 swap in a OBD2 car makes the most sense.
