It's been a few years since I have done any tuning on my truck. Want to get back into it. I am currently running a 3.4l v6 60 degree with the 1228062 ECM.
I had at one time thought about running a 1227747 ECM but was having issues with with trying to find a BIN that was close to my engine/trans/rear combination.
Now that I am thinking about it again, I can't help but question the idea that I may in fact be stuck using the 1228062 ECM.
Reason being is that it appears that the 42 source code that I could find here shows a formula related to spark with "256/90" being part of the equation.
I've also found that there were in fact 1228062 ECMs used with a 90 degree crank engine, which now has me concerned with the source code in the 1228062 ECM's I have as spares. Those should be easy enough to sort out.
So where in the ECM is the source code stored and how can it be downloaded, edited and reflashed?
Anyone know by chance?
