Hi All,

I'm getting a check engine light on my 2006 LQ4 after swapping it in an older jeep. The error code is C1507 and the description is "Unknown", I've done a bunch of google searches and can't find anything about this code. The code has been cleared multiple times and comes back after 30 minutes or so of operation. The engine is running fine, just don't really want the check engine light on all the time.

Engine: 2006 LQ4, aftermarket cam
Transmission:5 spd. NV4500
Computer: factory re-flashed to remove VATs and tuned for the cam

Any help is appreciated :) please and thank you

Hiya,
Are you sure it's not P1507, if so, quit trying to control the idle speed with the throttle blade.

C1507 Code - Traction Control of Brake Exceeds Time-Out

Unless you change over the entire brake system and ABS (highly unlikely) you need to disable traction control and the associated codes.

I'm sure it's a C not a P :(

Thanks for pointing me somewhere :). The funny thing with this code is that I don't see it in the DCT list when trying to disable it? I'm using Universal Patcher to edit the ECU... any idea what settings to look at?

Post your BIN and XDF and I'll look, or you can search your BIN for "traction control" to locate every thing it takes to enable it, and adjust to a higher value than you will see. ie. minimum enable speed 254 mph.

Here's my bin https://drive.google.com/file/d/1Aro5QagUq1hUHDAUYM2_cpjllY8f5JEt/view?usp=sharing

I don't have an xdf because I just change things with universal patcher.

While looking around I found a number TCS setting, so I'll start messing with those and see what happens

When you read codes you can check where the code comes from. It will have a module ID assigned to that code. If the code comes from other module[abs for example] It will be not possible to turn it off via PCM.

so you’re saying I can never turn it off because it comes from C chassis module? Which I don’t have connected at all?

So why am I getting a code from a module that's not connected?

I wasn't able to locate a C1507 code, but I did find a U1507 code with this description "SCP (J1850) Invalid or Missing Data for Vehicle Configuration". I've disabled that code and will report back if it solves the problem

Update, disabling the C1507 worked :)

Looks like there some of P codes are tied to the C codes, hope this helps someone else out.
