Hi so I put a 2003 LQ9 using a p59 PCM into a truck deleted VATS and DTCs. All have worked but code P0443 keeps coming on. I checked my file and I have it turned off as in the code should not register and I also have the MIL turned off. I'm using TunnerPro OS 12579405. Any suggestions on what I'm doing wrong or how to fix. thank you

I don't see the problem with the programming, P0443 is properly turned off. Might change OS # and see what happens.

! have a stroked LQ9 in my 99 Yukon, using 12587603 OS, it has a more complete .XDF available. Set up for DBW and analog A/C input.

Opening your bin with HP Tuners P0443 is still enabled as is P0442, P0496 which are also an evap codes. If this is a swap there are also a lot of other codes still enabled that should be turned off. A lot of sensor 2 codes are still on and you have P0151 which is a B2S1 code off which should be left on. The P0420 and P0430 cat codes are still on too. There is probably an error in the xdf you are using. How did you come up with the 6.0L/4L60 combination? Did you start with a 5.3/4L60 and swap engine segments with a 6.0 or start with a 6.0/4L80 and swap the trans segments with a 4L60?

I didn't turn off P0151 I understand its needed. The XDF file isn't my doing I got from another forum. 6.0/4L65 came from the same donor vehicle so did the PCM.

I'm just telling you what I observed in your bin with HP Tuners editor which I would bet is accurate. Looking at it with Tunercat OBD2 shows the same thing.

If you can wait until tomorrow I will fix your bin and post it. HPT and TC will open bins but won't save it as a bin. I will have to flash it in a PCM and then read it back out as a bin. I won't have time to do that until tomorrow.

Here is your bin with P0442, P0443, P0496, P0420, P0430 turned off and P0151 turned back on. Those are the only changes I made. And your VATS is set to PWM, not None. Stock VATS setting would have been Serial.

in the future, you might try universal patcher to disable DTCs and check engine light - not sure if the results would be any better, but, the interface is more intuitive. i normally use tunerpro for 80% of the tuning activities, and then universal patcher for the DTC disable portion.

Thank you for fixing the file, I had VATS turned off. Thinking that XDF needs more work. I've tried running Universal Patcher but at first it wouldn't open on my laptop then once I got it to run it wouldn't open any if my BINS. Need to work more on this.

I didn't change the VATS setting in your bin. That is what both HPT and Tunercat OBD2 showed it to be.

i just checked the original file that you posted with universal patcher, and it clearly shows P0443 as enabled:

19197

if you used the correct XDF to edit this, the XDF has issues

i just posted on pcm hacking in the thread where this XDF lives. I think phoenix over there is pulse_gto over here, and as far as i can tell he's the brain behind the plethora of excellent P59 XDF's that we have

What does the error message actually say? Maybe it can point you in the right direction as to what's wrong?

It's probably less you and more that there's some bug in Universal Patcher related to file paths and/or permissions.

Try creating a folder in the root of a drive and put all your stuff in there instead. For example, if you only have a C:\ drive, then you'd make a folder called "Patcher" and so would be at C:\Patcher. Then put all your BINs in there, run the program from there, etc.

Alternatively you can try running the program as administrator in case it's an issue with NTFS permissions.

Lots of "indie" programs have issues when it comes to dealing with Windows directory structures and permissions. Wouldn't surprise me in the slightest if Universal Patcher was one of them.

Can you post the errors you get. Also did you get the full zip folder, maybe some files are missing from the program.

Permissions is big problem for most programs, but not sure it applies to universal patcher.

Maybe you are trying to run it from the zip folder. Try extracting the zip to folder in desktop and run from there.

I did extract it to desktop

I did some test and got the same error when, tried to run it from zip folder, without extracting first.

I guess something with the extracting didn`t went smooth. I suggest to use zip file manager as 7z or winzip, winrar to extract the zip file, and than run it from extracted folder.

OK so I don't know what I did differently but I deleted and downloaded again and extracted same way I did before but for some reason it works now. Thanks again for everyone's suggestions and advise.
