Hi all, I’m here as we have a project ‘53 GMC half ton with a Chevrolet 235 I’m looking at converting to EFI. I’ve played around with HPTuners and EFILive but haven’t ‘built’ a system. I’m looking at using a Chevy TBI and debating whether I want to go with a GM ECU or try something like Arduino or Megasquirt. I like the idea of a standalone ECU more (I’m signed up with HP Academy and they go through the Megasquirt), especially for tuning on the fly. I see there are lots of good threads on here to read up on but will gladly accept recommendations and pointers! Now to see if I can post a pic.

Seems likely the majority of gearhead-efi members would select the factory GM TBI computer 1227747 or 16197427. Dynamic EFI is also an aftermarket TBI computer option: https://www.dynamicefi.com/EBL_Flash.php
