Anyone notice the kit/s sold do not have the correct base gasket for the 454. The Delco kit I bought includes (2) and neither are for the 454. I purchased the following: https://www.rockauto.com/en/moreinfo.php?pk=1324590&cc=1059634&pt=12939&jsn=1025

I ended up sourcing a Delco base gasket for the 454 off fleabay.

The spacer for the regulator is also too thin compared to the OE 454 spacer. I will just reuse the OE one.

Rockauto parts search 1994 P30 7.4 is listing parts for a 5.7 throttle body not 7.4 throttle body. :mad1:

Rockauto parts search 1994 C3500 7.4 liter. Often 2 each of the 5.7 throttle body spacer gaskets are included in 7.4 kits.

Which is the 7.4L kit?

This is what I purchased...https://www.rockauto.com/en/moreinfo.php?pk=1324590&cc=1059634&pt=12939

What if any in the kit can be used on the 454 TBI?

Which is the 7.4L kit?

This kit appears to have the original thick spacer gasket: https://www.rockauto.com/en/moreinfo.php?pk=89269&cc=1034536&pt=12939&jsn=1037 ACDELCO 40724 (Alternate Inventory Numbers: 40-724, 17076161)

This kit appears to have the correct throttle body to intake manifold gasket for a 1994 7.4 Liter: https://www.rockauto.com/en/moreinfo.php?pk=984599&cc=1034536&pt=12939&jsn=1039 (Alternate Inventory Numbers: 217-2894)

Because there are two versions of the 454 Throttle Body, there has been and likely always will be confusion about the 454 Throttle Body service parts. Typically, 1991 and newer 454's have the newer style. Parts suppliers just can't seem to figure out the service kit difference between the two types of 454 throttle bodies. :mad1:

Figures...LOL!

Well I'll have (2) rebuild kits to pull from. Ill use the original larger spacer it's currently using.

Alright have the TBI rebuilt but not installed yet (work). Anyone know the size Viton o-rings used on the lines at the rear (each end of filter housing)? The following video (not my video) shows the line and o-rings in question.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-af3_QUecVU

Did not take long except for the injectors gaskets needing a Dremel brass brush. Went thru (3) of them LOL. Won't have that issue again given I coated the new ones with Chapstick I also noticed when pulling the injectors from the pods they only had the large O-rings up top with no metal ring. The rebuild includes the thin metal ring. Anyone know why they include a metal ring? Seems it would only allow for the O-ring to sit abet higher in the pod. Replaced the bottom side with new screens and O-rings. Dab a bit of motor oil on the O-rings prior to seating the injectors back in their pods.

Anyone know the torque for the (3) TBI - manifold bolts?
