Have 5.3,th400,np208 in a 84 K20 after a yr lifter gave out so going truck Norris cam and top end rebuild. After that the tuning is my weakest link

IMHO your best bet is to start with a non electric auto calibration if possible. What pcm are you using, p01 or p59?
Drive by cable or drive by wire?

If drive by cable, p01, I believe there is a non electric auto bin in the 2002 or 2003 bin page from a Kodiak truck that can be segment swapped to a 5.3l bin.
