Guys, I finally got my laptop and obd working bluetooth to at least read the PCM. But I am getting an error as shown. I have checked settings and tried others and to no avail. I'm using PCM Hammer and obdlink lx Not wanting to be spoonfed, but I have also searched google and find threads for the OS shown but not for the error I am getting. It read the VIN, OS hardware, calibration etc What gives?

08:18:10:743] Querying operating system of current PCM.
[08:18:22:166] Operating system query failed, will retry: Error
[08:18:33:554] Operating system query failed: Error
[08:18:33:570] Unable to get operating system ID. Will assume this can be unlocked with the default seed/key algorithm.
[08:19:06:072] Using OsID: 12202088
[08:19:07:302] Unlock was not successful.

The first message you should get is one verifying the OBDLink. Did you get that message and just not post it? You don't have to post, I just want to make sure you did in fact receive it.

Next thing, are you doing this on the vehicle itself? As in without a bench harness? If so, charge the vehicle's battery overnight and get it completely full. It will not read the PCM if it feels the battery is low.
