View Full Version : Coils wired to e/f15 leads on ecm?

I'm not seeing these in any pictures. I'm trimming my dash harness and found these coils taped up in series on the blue connector. Under the tape is a coil with a capacitor grounded back to the ecm case. I started to clean them up, but then, do I even need them?

I also have a green wire to the J pin in my aldl I'm not seeing in diagrams. I recall it may have gone to the radio connector, which is now absent. Might I remove the pin or should it terminate somewhere?

I'm trying to understand what purpose this might serve. Usually things under this much tape get tossed, and this is no exception. Was it an ebay fuel economy gimmick?

what ECM is this for? I wonder if maybe something to do with a propane conversion . but this is merely a guess at this point.

16196395. It was a 94 suburban. I saw no sign of alternative fuel system installed, it was all pretty well original.
