Hello, 1978 454 information

Hoping to get some advice on a 1978 454 tbi conversion. I’m having a problem finding any 454s at my local pick n pull (Edmonton Alberta Canada) in order to scavenge tbi components. I’ve read that the majority of the components are universal between chevy models except of course the throttle body and injectors. It would make it so much easier as there are lots of vehicles at the yard with tbi. Would anyone be able to verify if this is correct? Thanks

Unfortunately 2.8L has the smallest throttle bore at 1.5". 4.3, 5.0 and 5.7L share the same 1.68" throttle bore. 454 would be the only one that has a 2" throttle bore in which that's probably what you want to use on a 454 unless you have a dual quad intake. lol Injectors vary from engine size and later 454 there's some variation due to higher fuel pressures.
