Hi group,

I'm working on a 93 Camaro with a 3.4 v6 engine. It has a computer with the number 16172693. It doesn't have a chip that you can remove and place in a prom. You have to use the ALDL port to program it. I'm using a Moates Extreme aldl datalogger as an emulator and Tuner Pro RT. I found some files but nothing that has worked for me. I need to turn off the VATS and the Transmission Fluid Temperature Sensor functions. I bypassed the VATS module a few years ago. Now the resistors are reacting to extreme ambient temperatures. I have to wait until the temperature of the resistors I soldered inline to the computer and the temperature of the chips on the key matches, before it will start. Also, I removed the Transmission fluid temperature sensor and installed a different wiring harness to to eliminate the wire that communicates with the computer. I still get a trouble code and the check engine light stays on. I just need the right files. I'm scouring this site in hopes that I'll get lucky. I'll post again if things work out. I hope you gleaned some useful info from this post.

Maybe information in this gearhead-efi link will help: http://www.gearhead-efi.com/Fuel-Injection/showthread.php?1928-16172693-16184164-16184737-16196397-PCM-Information-P66-V6

something important that's not in that thread, my flashhack tool will read/write that ECM

not sure what moates thing you're talking about but i'm 99% sure you are not emulating with it but you should be able to reflash.

unfortunately the 1993 ECM has very crappy coverage. in fact i don't think anyone has ever created an XDF for it.

you might be totally screwed for tuning it until someone does more work.

it would be hundreds of hours of hard work for little gain on an uncommon antique ECM
