So i am planning on tuning my 06 tahoe and to do that with tunerpro i must revert to the 7603 OS.
Well... the problem is the flex fuel vehicles kept the return style vacuum referenced injector maps till 05 so there is no flex injector scaling that i can find. Does anyone know where to find the chart or how to calculate the grams/sec flow of the 33.6lb/hr injectors in the L59?
Or does tunerpro know how to interpolate from the free flow at 0 vacuum?
Maybe a calculator that can convert it? Ive spent a day or two looking and dont seem to be able to find one online.

What OS does your vehicle currently have?

It was originally 12605114 but pretty sure when i took it into the dealer last year they updated the OS for a recall. Now it is supposed to be 12619623. I havent redownloaded the ecm since but i do have a clone of the original from a few years ago of the 5114 OS.

I have the OS progression for 2006 from an old post

from what I can tell was one of the early 2006 software versions (12587811 > 12605114> 12606807 > 12613246). And then after that an update came out for the 12619623 which i think mine was updated to.

My concern is that you may run into accelerator pedal/TAC module issues with using a 7603 OS in your 06 Tahoe. Since your OS is based on the 12587811 OS, the XDF for that may work for your OS. I'm attaching a copy of it with the checksum plugin. Why don't you take a look at your bin and see if that will work?

I will do that thank you.
Yeah i was aware of the 03-05 pedal/TAC module issue and planned on doing a pre06 pedal and tac swap since i couldnt find a xdf for mine or anything other than the 7603 os. So if this os will work with the 7811 i will try that first, and as a bonus my Silverado is the ho L33 5.3 with 7811 so i could use it for that too.

Side note, i have spent months looking for a P59 xdf other than the 7603. Where did you find the 7811? Or did you make it? If so you are far smarter than I lol.

Havent had the time to mess with it yet, had a heavy rain Saturday and basement started leaking. Spent yesterday digging along the foundation to find and patch the crack. Will update when i can. Thank you again

Mudsport96, can you share a full stock dump of 12619623 Os. I looked at some archive and have only 1 example of it. It will be nice to have more samples of it.

Yeah, give me a couple days to get it scanned and uploaded. I havent even pulled it off the ecm since the dealer flashed it. 2006 tahoe flex fuel 5.3 is what it is.
House foundation repair on top of the list for now unfortunately, and after working 12 hour days on top of that remembering to LSDROID the tahoe is hard lol

Well i got up early and scanned the Tahoe.
I put a file in the 2006 section, but ill put it here too, to go along with the original post/question.

Vehicle is a 2006 Tahoe Z71 5.3 virtual flex fuel 4l60e 3.42 with the TSB updated os for better ethanol content sensitivity and some rear o2 update. Which is strange because the rears dont affect the fueling just monitor cat life.

Going to try to get to checking if the xdf posted will work with this bin. Will report as soon as I have a few minutes free from work

Ok so. Had a break at work and had a few minutes to play on tunerpro.
The xdf you posted worked great on the 7811 bins as expected since that is what it was for.

The 5114 that the Tahoe originally was seems to be pretty close as i didnt seem to find anything that looked funky to my untrained eye.
And the 9623 was hit and miss. Some stuff looked fine and others like max allowed mph was wonky, like it shows 9.1 mph max and well i know it will do 81 more than that lol. But it did show injector flow and timing maps. Trans controls looked alright. (Again to my untrained eye)
Will continue to update as i find stuff out.
I really appreciate this help guys.

After you posted your file I got a chance to compare it to a 7811 OS and there were only a couple of differences in the Speedo section that were easy to take care of. I'm attaching the XDF for 12639623 OS. Make sure to copy the checksum plugin in your "Plugins" folder in the TunerPro Files folder. Let me know how it works out!

I will let you know as soon as i get a chance to Dink around with it. I work an oddball shift so sometimes im asleep by 1800 hours. But being up at 0300 lets me play around without being bothered lol.
Thanks again, this is so helpful.

There are a few quirks to it, like sometimes the rows are shifted down one or the columns are shifted right, and some calculations are wayoff. But nothing i couldn't fix with copy and paste. Somethings like mph limit were wonky too, but for a first version id say its pretty good. Ill post some pics for context

See good other than shifted down a row. Just something that has to be checked but the xdf is really good i think

I think I've fixed the shift issue, when you get a moment take a look at the XDF attached.

I have been excessively busy at work, but i did get a few minutes to look at the new xdf. And it seems to have fixed the info shift issue!
