I have been actively (almost to a spousal-neglect degree) hunting for a live emulation solution for my P66 V6 PCM and it's frustrating flashed based design. Once I thought I (finally) had the entire concept wrapped around my head :mad1:, Moates DISCONTINUES :yikes: the Ostrich2 and APU1?!?!? Well, I have a (seemingly, better) solution! Exact same concept but FASTER up-to-date hardware! (also supports the data trace feature and is compatible with many tuning programs, especially TunerPRO RT.

and the Motronic RT https://cobrartp.com/store/motronicrt/ is $150 with USB and $175 with bluetooth. There are a few other emulators like the CobraRTP and Black Horse. I also found THIS (http://www.keeelectronics.com/StandardWillem.html) from a different company that looks promising to upgrade flash based PCMs to be able to live tune.

Here is another short walkthrough of the https://mycomputerninja.com/~jon/27SF512.html emulator that (I HOPE) is compatible with the P66 Vs PCM to enable live-tuning.

but THIS (http://www.keeelectronics.com/oscommerce-2.3.4/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=29) one seems to be the best deal. $70 bucks and comes with free plcc32 to dip32 adapter, and if someone can confirm compatibility, I would greatly appreciate it... I attached the support txt list on this post as well. almost eight thousand supported chips!

as this seems to be Russian based company located in Russia it most probably shipping will be blocked due to Russian aggression on Ukraine.
as for the product it looks quite promising

best regards

have you opened the case of your P66 V6 ecm to find you have two flash roms on independent boards?

what's the plan for that?

are you going to buy two of these and try to run them simultaneously? or do they handle multiple flash roms with the same device

i linked the dealers that supply the product. And yes their claim seems legit with how much they detail it’s application. We’ll see

Does this one do that with these? It said “the serial part” works with over 7000 chips… etc. Then goes on to say, “the parallel part” “works with the chips below” and the list includes SST27SF512, which is the P66 isn’t it? I wish I knew

And quite honestly… teach me your ways.

why dont you ask them

tell them your ecm is actually two separate ecms in one box

see what they recommend or if they support that kind of thing

nobody has really done this, its hard enough to solder those sockets in reliably. do you have a decent hot air rework station? soldering skills? a spare ecm in case you butcher this one?

If you are so keen to get RTT there is another way. Get yourself Megasquirt or Speeduino and use it as PCM for the engine and leave stock PCM piggybacked only for controlling transmission.
