I found this on another site and thought it was very interesting AND informative on new cars the feel boggy! Specifiacally newer cars that are drive by wire (gas pedal connected to wires, not linkage).

some of this is done for two very good reasons: fuel economy and powertrain warranties.

:confused1: I've been trying to read up on OBDII stuff and found that to be so true!

The motors are running so good they have "Tourqe Manement control" in the ECM to limit HP! Limit HP! Can you beleive this? The motrs are getting so powerful that the transmissions and drivelines can't keep up. So to minimize warrentie claims they cut the HP!

This is a crime against gearheads! :laugh:

it's even done with some of the later OBD1 masks as well.
