changing the 9381344 os

i was told i have a engine from a 04 silverado. the os i got back was 9381344 and from the bit of research that i have done it seems this is best compatible in hpt but i am running tunerpro. instead of fighting to find matching xdf files i want to flash my pcm to the 12587603 bin and find a linear xdf file to use with the new tune, will this work? from what i see, it is still a LM7 base engine so it should be able too. but i would like input from others before i do it.

You can switch OS with a new bin.
You can't compare bins of different OS's with tunnerpro unless you have an XDF for both OS's and have 2 screens open.
You can however use universal Patcher, it should open both and be able to make changes. And also it can open both at the same time and compare. Using Tuner Pro, you also need the correct checksum file. Don't have to worry about it in Universal Patcher.
