6.0 LQ9 in 99 Denali. 2010 truck t-body/intake/injectors. Using X-Link to interface the 87 mm 4 bolt t-body to 05 wiring harness. Problem is when I move the throttle pedal (APP) the throttle body moves too much. 50% APP is half pedal but activates t-body WOT. Which values in TunerPro are used to adjust this? Thanks, Jeff

Depends on how it's labeled in the XDF. Without the xdf your using hard to say for sure but in HP tuners the settings are called etc settings, for Electronic Throttle Control.

The .xdf file is "XDF File - Operating System 12587603 - 1MB PCM - 2004 model year.xdf" It does not have an ETC catagory, Only ETC parameters I could find are under the idle catagory B4349 ETC Throttle Area Correction (mine is set at 0.02077 % per Sq mm) and B4350 Max Desired Idle Area ( Mine 84 Sq mm) Do I need to use a different XDF? copy of my BIN enclosed. Thank you, Jeff

universal Patcher found the following tables in picture attached.

Also see what HPt has defined for an 04 truck in 2nd picture

See the tables found by using paraemter finder in tuner pro with this xdf

Thanks, that is a much more detailed XDF. Do you know which specific parameter calibrates the ETC? In other words the adjustment for APP maximum to ETC throttle plate maximum. When I press my pedal halfway to floor the throttle blade is already fully open. I looked and did not see any that were relevant. Thanks.

I used the search function. Several modifiers, but not a parameter for base throttle closed/open.

ETC Max throttle rotation vs Pedal Position is what I would try

It's been a few years since I messed with DBW apps or etc settings, but I remember that was the table I had changed was the max rotation per throttle position. But again that was a few years back, and on HPT with an 02 trailblazer.
Never had any need to mess with it on any other drive by wire vehicles.
That said, to cure it opening the butterfly too much, limiting max rotation should work. Maybe if others with more experience get a chance they can chime in.

I will give that a try today. Thanks.

Just remembering what I had looked up for the trailblazer when I was messing with it,

The DBW control strategy was torque based.
Pressing the pedal requests torque.
It will open the butterfly and advance timing to max value per conditions if torque output is not meeting requested.
So if max is 70 % at 20 % pedal position, and torque is low, it will open to 70%
Seems like the trailblazer had a table for max rotation vs transmission gear.
slight hill in OD would open the butterfly and lug the crap out of it and MPG suffered a lot.

If I remember Correctly, that was an E40? I don't know how much control strategy is the same, or even if that was 100% correct.

APP1 and 2 going from 0.5 V to 4.67V and from 6 to 100% percent with only 1/2 throttle application. TPS and throttle blade match the pedal movements. This is with key on, engine off. Press pedal further than 1/2 way down and the readings stay the same. I will be checking actual voltages at TB, APP, and TAC module in the next couple of days. Truck runs great, no codes.
