View Full Version : Make your own carb to TBI adapter

Make your own carb to tbi adapter for an inline 6. Use your gaskets as the templates. The upper and lower plates are 3/8" thick. The side pieces are 1/8" thick. cut a 1 3/4" pipe at 172 degrees, 1 7/8" long and then split the pipe and flip one side and you have the 2 sides, cut the triangle pieces to fill in the voids. It ends up at 2 1/4" tall. Thread the upper plate for the tbi unit. I used my drill press to keep my tap square to the plate. I used a regular 1 3/4" hole saw at slow speed with plenty of cutting fluid to cut the holes. Hope this helps.

Thank you, It's running great. I used the pcm, harness and hardware from an S10 4.3 engine

nice work, but if you know how to weld why not open up that intake manifold to breath more air ?

Which inline is this for? Looks like it would fit my 59 235 intake. How much to make another? lol
