What is this box on top of 16197427 PCM?

Hi Everyone! First post.

I purchased a 16197427 PCM from a salvage yard for a Chevy 292 project. The donor vehicle was a 1994 4.3L S10 Blazer. It has a BHRJ memcal which I think means it came from a 4.3L CPI engine. The PCM has a box with a 32 pin connector attached to it. Anyone know the function of this box? I've searched and searched and cannot find an answer.

could it be a separate transmission control module? i have seen ones from that era with a similar configuration but the shape is unfamiliar

Body control module?

I thought about those, but after more googling I think it is s Transfer Case Control Module (TCCM) for the NV233. I'm satisfied that I won't need it for my conversion.
