I have long worked on vehicles, and shied away from the electronically controlled flavors until a few years ago I swapped an EFI engine into an old suzuki samurai...
I have wanted to do a V8 swap for years, and finally have the project in hand... looking at engine output specs, I cannot pass up doing an LS swap... then a VW TDI swap after the V8 itch has been scratched.
So, reading up on defeating VATs and EGR deletes, and seeing people locally offering this service for 100 bucks... figured there has got to be open source solutions, and found this forum. Started reading The Car Hackers Handbook, and am excited to setup a test bench to do this on my own... and even learn and share from a community of like minded folk.

Suzuki Samurai - ongoing - G16A swapped, want to see what can be done with this ECU
Jeep Cherokee XJ - going into the garage as soon as the samurai Jeep YJ spring swap is completed - LS 5.3 swap, 4 speed manual, GM 10 bolt conversion (off road monster)
undecided platform - VW TDI swap for rock crawler
tube chassis rock bouncer - LS 6.0
