one current bug which is already fixed for the next release is that the custom tools are acting oddly.... as in, multiple instance no worky.

there was another one that somebody on delcohacking found, but i don't think it was that important.

Yep, that is why I'm waiting to update my installed copy.

Yup, found that one already.

One thing I do like is open a bin and it imediatly prompts for XDF.

AGGRRHH, NOO. I jumped the gun as soon as I read marks post and downloaded the update. Now I cant open two instances of tunerpro! :mad1::mad1: Thankfully I have only updated the version on my desktop, and not my laptop. But on that same note, my desktop is the one I use two instances of the most!
That was one feature I used quite often! How long untill its fixed?

That is wierd, with the previous version I had no problem opening two instances on my laptop, but I couldn't on my desktop, both running XP. Are you saying that Ver. 5.00.8xxxx won't do multiple instances at all?

EagleMark

Yup, horrible situation, I already uninstalled and reinstalled last version...

OOOOH, you can reinstall the last version? How, where?

EagleMark

Windows uninstall program and hopefully you still have the last version to reinstall. If not send me an email and I'll Zip one up for you.

I liked the couple things I noticed, but can't live without New Instance...

I have learned a lot about fuel injection computers, but still dont know much about regular home computers. How would I check to see if I have the older version to reinstall? I can uninstall the new version fine.

I save everything to a folder named Downloads. Chances are you'll find the older version in the same folder as newer version.

I dint find either one. Was it because I "ran" the program instead of "save" it?
Either way, I dont have it.

temp fix.

"C:\Program Files (x86)\TunerPro RT V5\TunerPro.exe" -multiinstance

right-click your shortcut and add the -multiinstance like i've done there. it will allow multiple instances.

No worky?

you won't be able to open it via the custom tools, but you should be able to minimize one screen and launch a second program manually.

Yup tried custom tools and fail... tried to add it to desktop icon and fail?

i have 3 instances of 8008 open..... ???I hate you...

With that command in the desktop icon?

RobertISaar

yes.

i hate using command line switches, but that's what works. you might be missing the space or the little -, that's usually what i forget when i have to impliment them.

OK I like you again!

Don't know what I did wrong first time?

I made a second desktop icon, checked both, then added the -multiinstance to one. :jfj:

Trying it out now.

What's this?

Fixed crash when using Moates logger utility with upcoming
Moates hardware
Fixed wrong report of total flash space in upcoming Moates
hardware
Sounds like new stuff?

i was wondering the same thing..... then i saw some guys on delcohacking are doing some more or less final testing with some homebrew standalone dataloggers.... i'm wondering if it's related. IIRC, it also has 4 A/D channels built into it? interesting stuff.

Tools->hardware utilities->moates onboard logging

that's the only real reference i can find to it.

Wonder what we can use the Patch Bin for? This looks like it could take place of old S19 files, which I never got work in TP...

Did they fix the new instance thing?

RobertISaar
07-16-2012, 02:42 AM
yes. even though the -multiinstance trick will still (and has for a LONG time) work.
