C.A.T.S. Winflash not installing.

Ok so I purchased a 1995 Z28 with some type of a Built LT1 with roller rockers, T56 , New clutch, bunch of wiring mangled and missing parts. The engine is obviously professionally built and nobody who had their hands on it to this point got it completely put back together. Trying to get C.A.T.S. Winflash Running and every time I run the setup for the program and click complete setup it just goes away. Tried Windows10, Windows 8.1, same thing. Already have TunerProRT and a bunch of hardware. From what I am finding this software works best with older versions of Windows such as Windows XP. never really tried it before, I'm sure there are some things I am unaware of. This is new to me but I have been tuning on LS based platforms for about a year now. Tying to find an older laptop with WindowsXP currently. If anyone is running this program on a newer version of Windows I will just have to figure it out.

you paid for it, right? contact their support if it doesn't run.

over here we support the free stuff. try flashhack. i (and some others) worked pretty hard on it
its free....also new.. definitely works with windows 10... maybe linux and probably windows 7 and mac os.
i believe it's 100x better than winflash but that's an opinion of course. it definitely does a lot more, flashes a lot more quickly, and has way more logic to recover if stuff goes sideways

by the way i do love tunercat's software and he is an awesome guy, just want to be clear than his stuff does work fine, but for your particular engine i have spent way way way more time working on software for it than he has. flashhack is actually my second successful reflash program for the LT1 and it is a ground up rewrite.

you know something was bugging me, i do own winflash, and it's been installed on this windows 10 laptop for ages.
i went back to see how i installed it and what i did is i ran the installer in windows xp compatibility mode.
right click the setup, properties, compatibility, run this program in compatibility mode for windows xp service pack 2
then click okay and try again
hope this helps but also hope you install flashhack too and try both

Still didn't have any luck with cats winflash, ill have to figure it out later. Got Flashhack to install but when i try to install EEhack it just tries to install a driver updater and charge me $9.99 . I will be working on it and probably need to get a new ALDL cable because the adapter I have is for 0bd2 .

well, that's not right, you must have clicked a google ad on my website for some fake driver updater.

eehack does not have anything to do with drivers or updating them and would never charge you anything.

whatever you installed make sure you uninstall it and get a proper copy of eehack

an obd-ii cable would not work with any of these tools
